I’m writing to share perspective and data on the school zone safety program. I’m skeptical of this program given the unethical history of ATS. I collected information on ATS and the Hays safety camera program here:
That includes agreements and invoices between Hays county and ATS obtained via a public information request.
I brought this up to DSISD leadership and the #IamDSISD community, posing the question, “Do we want regressive revenue enhancement robots from a corrupt corporation on the front curbs of our schools, @DSISD?”
I learned from the discussion that the safety camera program might be retired after this school year. Can this be confirmed?
Unaccountable ticketing robots do not welcome people to a new school year nor do they address the perennial traffic flow problems at Dripping Springs Elementary School.
